The Romanian government has approved an Emergency Resolution for the allocation of 3.8 billion lei, of which nearly 2.5 billion lei are intended for the payment of arrears of the Ministry of Development and the continuation of public investments. Another 1.35 billion lei will be redistributed to sectors such as transport and agriculture. Additionally, a new Resolution is being prepared for the allocation of nearly 2 billion lei to CNAS, for outstanding payments in the health sector.

The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, emphasized that these measures will not affect the budget deficit, due to efficient management of funds and increased revenue collection. The government has renegotiated the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), shifting the funding of some projects from loans to grants, creating additional fiscal space. These measures, along with limiting expenditures, have allowed for savings that support public investments and the absorption of European funds.
