The negotiations between Romania and the European Commission regarding the latest amendment to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) have been successfully completed, according to the interim Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru.

Romania will maintain a PNRR with a value of over 20 billion euros, including the component of non-reimbursable European funds. The adjustments made to the investment indicators and the reformulation of the milestones have eliminated the risks of penalties and significant financial corrections. Pîslaru emphasized the importance of maintaining essential objectives for reforms and investments in areas such as infrastructure, health, energy, digitalization, education, and the environment.

The details of the amendments will be communicated publicly soon, and the next critical stage is the implementation of projects by August 31.

The minister reaffirmed the commitment to attract European funds for the modernization of Romania.
