Romania submitted payment request no. 5 from the PNRR, amounting to 2.84 billion euros, announces Minister Dragoș Pîslaru

Romania has officially submitted the payment request number 5 from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with a total value of 2.84 billion euros, according to the interim Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru.

This request includes 75 targets and milestones, of which 21 are reforms and 54 are investments, having a net value of 1.65 billion euros in non-reimbursable grants and 433 million euros in loans. With this submission, Romania reaches an absorption rate of 78% on the grant side, a significant increase from the 47% recorded last year.

Pîslaru emphasized that, after submitting the request, work continued at the Ministry of Labor for the unified salary project. Romania's PNRR is financed with 21.41 billion euros, of which 13.57 billion euros are grants, and 7.84 billion euros are loans.
