In 2024, the net flow of foreign direct investments in Romania decreased to 5.603 billion euros, compared to 6.748 billion euros in 2023, according to BNR.

The National Bank of Romania reported a decrease in the net flow of foreign direct investments (FDI) in 2024, reaching 5.603 billion euros. This includes 4.6 billion euros from equity participations and 1.002 billion euros from debt instruments. The total FDI balance was 125.035 billion euros, with 90.833 billion euros in equity. FDI income for non-residents reached 10.899 billion euros, most of which came from equity participations. The statistical methodology follows international standards.
