At the end of October, Romania's international reserves reached 76.9 billion euros, recording an increase of over 5.5 billion euros compared to the same period last year. This increase reflects the strengthening of the country's external financial position, providing a "safety net" against external debts and economic instability. In October, the National Bank of Romania recorded inflows of approximately 5.5 billion euros, coming from external loans and operations of commercial banks. Additionally, gold reserves increased in value to 11.54 billion euros, due to the rising price of gold in international markets. These reserves are essential for managing public debt and maintaining the stability of the leu, considering that in November Romania must pay about 910 million euros of external public debt.
