On October 31, 2025, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) reported foreign exchange reserves of 65.347 billion euros, an increase from 65.015 billion euros on September 30, 2025. In October, there were inflows of 5.516 billion euros, coming from changes in minimum reserves in foreign currency and funding of the Ministry of Finance accounts, including from eurobond issuances.
On the other hand, outflows totaled 5.184 billion euros, including payments for public debt in foreign currency, such as eurobond maturities. Additionally, gold reserves remained steady at 103.6 tons, with a value of 11.538 billion euros. Romania's total international reserves, including currencies and gold, increased to 76.885 billion euros. In November 2025, payments due in the public debt account denominated in foreign currency amount to approximately 910 million euros.
