BNR: The deposits in lei of the population's households increased by 0.8% in October, compared to the previous month.

The deposits in lei of the population's households increased by 0.8% in October, compared to the previous month, reaching 254.406 billion lei and by 4.6% (-4.7% in real terms) compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

The deposits in foreign currency of the population's households, expressed in lei, increased by 1.4% compared to September 2025, reaching 140.620 billion lei (expressed in euros, they increased by 1.3%, reaching 27.653 billion euros). Compared to the same period of 2024, the increase of this indicator expressed in lei was 17% (14.4%, in the case of expressing the indicator in euros).
