Manufacturing new orders rose 1.6% in the first four months of 2025, but fell 11.4% in April from March.

According to the NSI, new orders in manufacturing registered a nominal increase of 1.6% in the first four months of 2025, thanks to advances across sectors. However, in April, orders fell 11.4% from March, negatively impacted by declines in intermediate and capital goods. Compared with April 2024, orders edged up 0.1%, supported by consumer and durable goods, while the intermediate goods industry fell 6.5%.
