According to provisional data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), industrial production prices increased by 12.1% in May 2026 compared to the same month of the previous year.


The most significant price increases were recorded in the energy industry, with a rise of 23.75%, followed by the intermediate goods industry (+9.09%) and capital goods (+5.94%).


By sector, the production and supply of electricity and thermal energy saw an increase of 21.33%, while the manufacturing industry grew by 8.89%.


Compared to April 2026, prices increased by 1.4%, with the largest increases in the intermediate goods industry (+2.41%) and durable goods (+1.38%).


These data reflect a trend of rising costs in various industrial sectors, influencing the national economy.
