In June 2026, industrial production recorded an increase of 1.3% compared to the previous month, due to advances in the manufacturing industry, the extractive industry, and the energy sector. However, compared to June 2025, production decreased by 3.5% in raw series and by 5.2% in adjusted series.

In the first six months of 2026, industrial production decreased by 3.3% compared to the same period in 2025, with significant declines in the manufacturing and extractive industries. In contrast, the production and supply of electricity and thermal energy increased by 3.3% in the same period.

The data is provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) and highlights fluctuations in the Romanian industrial sector, with a long-term declining trend, despite some temporary increases.
