The government has decided to impose the excise tax increases in three stages to cushion the impact on drivers. Platts international quotations for gasoline and diesel are also affecting fuel prices in Romania. Expert Claudiu Cazacu warned that the price hikes could continue in the future, given Saudi Arabia's decision to stop investing in increasing production capacity.
