Starting January 1, 2026, the legal minimum wage will increase from 12.82 € to 13.90 € per hour, representing an increase of 8.4%. This decision was made by the Minimum Wage Commission in June 2025. Additionally, a new increase is expected for 2027, reaching 14.60 €/hour. The threshold for mini-jobs will be adjusted to 603 €, and employees earning the minimum wage will be entitled to this adjustment.

For midi-jobs, the upper limit remains 2,000 €/month, while the lower limit will be 603.01 €, without social contributions. Employees in this area benefit from full social insurance, and retirees can work in mini-jobs and accumulate additional points for their pension. There is discussion about a new 'active pension' that could allow income from small jobs, up to 2,000 €, to be tax-free. These changes will bring significant benefits for low-income employees and those engaged in mini-jobs and midi-jobs.
