Victor Negrescu, PSD MEP, emphasized the need for the rapid formation of a pro-Western government, following the adoption of the motion of censure that led to the dismissal of the government led by Ilie Bolojan. He called on right-wing political forces to demonstrate responsibility and return to negotiations with maturity.

Negrescu highlighted that, in the context of citizens' dissatisfaction with economic and social results, it is essential for the coalition to deliver more and better. He proposed a set of clear objectives for the future government, including the transparent use of European funds, a predictable tax system, combating tax evasion, and completing accession to the OECD. Negrescu stressed the importance of dialogue and shared responsibility within the coalition, stating that the Social Democratic Party aims to build healthy policies for Romanians.
