USR announced that it will support two experts in cultural management for the leadership of the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR), emphasizing the importance of cultural diplomacy in promoting Romania's image in the world. Roxana Dumitrache, program coordinator at ICR, is proposed for the position of president, having experience as the interim director of ICR London and as an expert in international relations.
Radu Vancu, a professor at 'Lucian Blaga' University in Sibiu and editor-in-chief of the magazine Transilvania, is proposed for a position on the management committee. USR emphasizes that ICR must be led by competent people with a strategic vision in order to fulfill its mission of representing Romanian culture internationally. Sorin Șipoș, the leader of the USR group in the Senate, highlighted that the performance of ICR depends on the quality of management, and competence must prevail over other considerations.
