A university professor from a law faculty in Brașov has been sent to trial for bribery after receiving sums of money from students, including from active staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to help them pass exams during their undergraduate and master's studies, as well as the graduation exam.

In the same case, a former professor and several students are indicted, accused of bribery, influence peddling, and trafficking in influence. The bribe requested by the professor ranged between 200 and 500 euros. The investigation was carried out by the National Anticorruption Directorate, and the indictment was sent to the Brașov Tribunal. Precautionary measures have been taken to confiscate the sums obtained illegally.
