According to the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA), an instructor was accused of corruption after requesting 600 euros from each of the two candidates, totaling 1,200 euros.
He allegedly promised them that he could influence employees of the Vehicle Registration and Driver Documentation Department in Orhei to help them pass the practical test of the driving license exam. The money was handed over under the supervision of anti-corruption officers, as part of special investigative actions.
On Friday, CNA officers conducted searches at the suspect's home and in his car, seizing relevant evidence for the criminal case. The instructor was detained for 72 hours and placed in the CNA isolation facility, with investigations continuing in this case.
