Work on the Robești tunnel, part of lot 2 of the A1 Sibiu-Pitești Highway, is intensifying, with daily blasting scheduled in the first gallery. The contracted Turkish company is working efficiently, and soon work will also begin in the second gallery. Although the work does not affect traffic on DN 7, restrictions are imposed in the Racovița area due to the construction of the ecoduct at Călinești, with directed traffic until November 15. The ecoduct will be 100 meters wide and will cross DN 7, the railway, and the Olt River. The Robești tunnel involves the excavation of 200,000 cubic meters of material and the use of 70 tons of explosive material, making it a complex project.
