CNAIR has announced the temporary closure of traffic on DN1 in Prahova County to install a pedestrian footbridge near the village of Puchenii Moșneni. The restrictions will apply on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, October 21, between midnight and 4:00 a.m.
Traffic will be halted in both directions on the section between kilometers 43+900 and 44+750, near kilometer 43+960. CNAIR recommends that drivers proceed with caution and comply with the temporary road signs.
During the works, traffic between Bucharest and Ploiești, as well as traffic in the opposite direction, will be diverted along the following route: DN1 at kilometer 43+900 – intersection with DS 353 – Comăneasca Street – Dogari Street – intersection with DN1 at kilometer 44+750 – Ploiești.
The measure is necessary to install the pedestrian footbridge and may cause delays on one of the country’s busiest routes. Temporary traffic signs have been installed in the area to direct vehicles.
The restrictions have been announced amid recent investments in road infrastructure in Prahova. The Comarnic bypass, a project funded through CNAIR, was opened to traffic after nearly three years of work. The bypass is six kilometers long and takes over part of the traffic from DN1.
