The Bucharest Municipality (PMB) informs that the shutdown of CET Sud has led to inadequate hot water supply for 1,395 blocks, out of a total of nearly 10,000 in the capital.
Hot water is temporarily supplied by CET Progresul, but at low pressure, particularly affecting the Titan neighborhood in Sector 3. This situation is the result of an annual maintenance carried out by ELCEN, with the summer revision being a mandatory procedure for over 60 years. PMB estimates that the hot water supply will return to normal parameters by September 18.
Also, starting from September 7, CET Grivița will restart, contributing to the improvement of hot water supply for Sectors 1, 5, and 6. The summer revision aims to prevent major breakdowns and to allow for cleaning and repairing industrial equipment, operations necessary for the efficient functioning of the system during the cold season.
