Termoenergetica announces that 71% of homeowners’ associations in Bucharest currently have hot water and heating supplied at appropriate levels. The supply of heating agent for heating began on October 16, after the conditions regarding outdoor temperatures had been met.
The remaining 29% of associations are not yet receiving services at the required levels. The company says that some associations opted to postpone heating by closing the supply valves, while the situation is also affected by the current production capacities of the ELCEN power plants.
CTE Bucharest West, which serves Sector 6, is undergoing repairs after two major incidents accompanied by fires that occurred in the spring of 2026. Restarting is scheduled for November. At CTE Progresu, technical operations are under way to resume operations after the completion of network modernization works financed through European funds.
At the same time, CTE Bucharest South is not delivering the requested temperature for Sectors 2, 3 and parts of 4, while CTE Grozăvești cannot adequately supply Sectors 1, 5 and 6. Termoenergetica is responsible for transporting, distributing and supplying the heating agent, while ELCEN is responsible for producing it.
