The Maramureș County Council announced that the road bridge over the Tisza, which connects Romania and Ukraine, has successfully passed the strength tests. The tests were conducted with eight trucks of 40 tons each, totaling 320 tons, on both sides of the construction. Although the Romanian side has progressed rapidly, with about 100 workers mobilized daily, the Ukrainian side has encountered delays, but the work is progressing.
The bridge has a total length of 240 meters and will facilitate road traffic, which is currently taking place on a temporary wooden and metal bridge. The operationalization of the bridge is expected at the beginning of next year, having a strategic impact on the development of Maramureș.
