The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has issued a travel warning of level 8/9 for Iran, advising Romanian citizens to avoid any travel to this country due to the ongoing demonstrations and the risks of escalation of violence. Those who are already in Iran are advised to avoid participating in protests and crowded places, as well as to reassess the necessity of remaining in the country. The MFA emphasizes the importance of registering presence at the Romanian Embassy in Tehran, considering the communication difficulties caused by internet access restrictions. Citizens can contact the embassy at the available emergency number, and in case of difficulties, they can call another number that redirects calls to the Contact and Support Center for Romanian Citizens Abroad.
