The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs Romanian citizens in Kosovo, those transiting through the country, or those planning to travel there that large gatherings of people are scheduled to take place in Pristina on Wednesday, September 16. The events could cause disruptions to road traffic and public transportation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Romanians constantly monitor information on developments in the local situation, allow extra time for travel, and keep their distance from public gatherings or demonstrations. The recommendations apply both to people already in Kosovo and to those planning to travel to the country.
For consular assistance, Romanian citizens can contact Romania’s Liaison Office in Pristina at +383 (0) 38604272. Calls are redirected to the Contact and Support Center for Romanian Citizens Abroad, which operates around the clock. In difficult or urgent situations, the number +383 (0) 49 415 780 can be called.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends consulting the official website and the “Travel Informed” app, which provides information and advice for Romanians traveling abroad.
