Alexandru Nazare, the Minister of Finance, was asked about the possible increase of VAT in Horeca from 11% to 21%, considering the increase in VAT revenues. He stated that there is an analysis in this regard and that he will support maintaining the 11% rate for Horeca until 2026, but the final decision will be made within the framework of the governmental coalition.

Additionally, Nazare addressed the topic of simplifying the rate for micro-enterprises, mentioning that any changes will be discussed in the context of negotiations for the 2026 budget. He emphasized that simplification is desired, but it must comply with the PNRR milestones to avoid risks to existing reforms.
