The Constanța City Hall has announced the start of the demolition works of the Infectious Diseases Hospital building, constructed in 1938 and classified in seismic risk class I. The works include archaeological excavations, the demolition of the section affected by fire, and the reconstruction of the hospital with three levels, according to DSP regulations. The project, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, will include foundation strengthening, modernization of installations, and the installation of photovoltaic panels, with a total value of nearly 87 million lei.
