The fog affected road traffic on several roads in Romania on Sunday morning, reducing visibility to under 200 meters, and in some areas even below 50 meters.

The Infotrafic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police has informed that, although there are no closed national roads or highways, weather conditions may favor the formation of ice. Reduced visibility is reported on the A2 and A7 highways, but on other main roads traffic is flowing on a wet roadway, with good visibility. Additionally, DN7C (Transfăgărășan) is closed on certain sections until March 2026, and on other sectors traffic remains closed during winter.

Authorities recommend drivers to adjust their speed to traffic conditions, ensure good visibility, and avoid risky maneuvers.
