The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) announced that the Danube's flow, at the Baziaș section, will decrease over the next week, reaching a value of 1,850 m³/second, well below the multiannual average for July of 4,700 m³/s.

Between July 10 and 17, the flow will decrease in the first four days, then stabilize at the same value. Downstream of the Iron Gates, the flows will also decrease. The forecast shows that, during the period of July 11-17, flows in rivers will increase due to the predicted precipitation, except for the first part of the interval, when levels will be relatively stable in the western part of the country.

Increases in levels and flows are possible on some rivers in hilly and mountainous areas. The ferry crossing between Bechet (Romania) and Oryahovo (Bulgaria) is temporarily suspended due to the low level of the Danube, and authorities recommend using alternative border crossing points.
