The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, has spent, since the beginning of his term, a total of 544,739.36 lei on official flights, equivalent to over 100,000 euros. According to information provided by the Presidential Administration, the most expensive trip was his participation in the NATO summit of heads of state and government, which took place in The Hague, from June 24-25, 2025. Nicușor Dan was sworn in as president on May 26, 2025, and his first official visit was to the B9 Summit in Vilnius, where he flew on a Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, marking a difference compared to former president Klaus Iohannis, known for luxury flights.
