On Bucovina Day, a Christmas tree was installed in front of the 'Arta' Multifunctional Center in Ițcani, Suceava, but on November 29 it suddenly disappeared. Residents were surprised to find out that the tree had been taken down by workers from the Public Domain Directorate of the Suceava City Hall, who justified the action by stating that the tree was not properly secured.
People in the neighborhood felt insulted and disappointed, emphasizing that the tree was the only symbol of Christmas in the area. Many did not have the opportunity to take photos with the tree, and now hopes that a new tree will be brought are unclear. Authorities announced that another tree would be brought in the coming days, but residents remain skeptical.
