Transylvania Highway: The opening of the Chiribiș–Suplacu de Barcău section has been postponed until the end of September.

The Pro Infrastructure Association announces that the highway section between Chiribiș and Suplacu de Barcău, measuring 26.35 kilometers, will be opened to traffic at the earliest by the end of September, with a delay compared to the established contractual deadline.

According to API representatives, most of the works are completed, including the asphalt on the majority of the section, as well as the overbuilt passages and viaducts. However, two structures near Lake Suplacu de Barcău and the area with retaining walls along Porț remain critical points that require completion.

API estimates that, in the most pessimistic scenario, the opening of traffic could take place in October, but the delay compared to the initial deadline in July is considered small.

The contractor Erbașu is responsible for these works.
