Deputy Prime Minister Tanczos Barna stated on Wednesday evening that there are 'theoretical chances' for maintaining the four-party coalition, following the vote on the censure motion on Tuesday. He categorically ruled out the participation of UDMR in a minority government that would have support from AUR, stating that such an option is unacceptable.
Tanczos mentioned that, although UDMR could accept a minority government, this would only be possible without the involvement of AUR. Regarding the future of the coalition, the deputy prime minister emphasized that he does not exclude the possibility of remaining in the current governing format, but consultations between parties will be needed to configure a new majority. He specified that he did not participate in behind-the-scenes negotiations, focusing instead on activities at the Ministry of Agriculture.
