The leader of the UDMR deputies, Botond Csoma, stated that the Union has not made a decision regarding support for the future government, waiting for the parliamentary majority to take shape after the appointment of a prime minister. UDMR does not want to end up 'in the same boat with AUR' and does not rule out a vote for an Executive led by Sorin Grindeanu.
Csoma mentioned the difficulty of supporting Eugen Tomac, considering previous criticisms. UDMR will analyze the composition of the majority to decide on government support, bearing in mind that it does not want to be associated with AUR. Additionally, Csoma stated that UDMR could vote for a government without being part of the Executive, emphasizing that they are not afraid of early elections. Criticisms were also directed at Siegfried Mureșan for the lack of efforts to form a majority, although Csoma considered him suitable for the position of prime minister. UDMR will make a decision after the appointment of the prime minister, but avoids association with extremist parties.
