Protesters brought photos of Georgescu and chanted slogans of support. His wife, Cristela Georgescu, gave a speech in which she emphasized the solidarity of supporters. Among the protesters were AUR leader George Simion and Marian Vanghelie. The gendarmerie took increased security measures in the area.
