Sorin Grindeanu, the interim president of the PSD, stated that the Romanian Army urgently needs serious investments and a decent salary to improve its performance. In a Facebook post, he emphasized that only through these measures can the Army's capacity to face future challenges be ensured.

On the occasion of the Romanian Army Day, celebrated on October 25, Grindeanu highlighted the international appreciation that Romanian soldiers enjoy, mentioning their contribution to the success of NATO operations. He also reminded of the decisive role of the Army in the history of Romania, including in the processes of independence and democratization. The events dedicated to Army Day will take place in the garrisons across the country and in the theaters of operations, and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan will participate in a ceremony in Carei.
