Serious road accident in Vaslui: one dead and one injured in critical condition

A serious road accident occurred on Sunday, on DE 581, between the localities of Curteni and Târzii, involving a tanker truck and a car. Representatives of the Vaslui Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) reported that intervention teams were mobilized at the scene, including a rescue vehicle and a mobile intensive care unit.

Upon arrival of the teams, two people from the car were trapped. The firefighters managed to free them and provide first aid. A 71-year-old man was found in cardiac arrest and, despite resuscitation efforts, was declared dead. Another man, approximately 55 years old, was in a coma and was intubated for emergency transport to the Vaslui Emergency Reception Unit. The driver of the tanker did not require medical attention. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
