MoD: RO-Alert alert in the north of Tulcea County after new drone attacks by Russia in Ukraine. Two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft took off from Borcea.

The Ministry of National Defense (MapN) informed that, during the night of June 20 to 21, the Russian Federation carried out drone attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine, near the river border with Romania, in Tulcea County.

As a result of detecting radar signals 22 km northeast of Vâlcove, the National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, implementing measures to alert the population in the northern part of Tulcea County. A RO-Alert message was sent at 02:16. In addition, two Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft of the British Royal Air Force, on Air Policing Combat Service, took off at 02:19 to monitor the situation.

No unauthorized incursions into national airspace were reported, and the air alert was lifted at 03:37.
