Romanian waters: 133 localities from 14 counties are facing restrictions on water supply due to severe drought.

The National Administration "Apele Române" announces that 133 localities in 14 counties are facing restrictions in water supply, due to drought and high temperatures.

The precipitation deficit has reduced the available water resources, affecting several communities. The most affected counties are Neamț, with 39 localities, and Bihor, with 30 localities.

According to hydrological monitoring, 12 stations in Bihor County have recorded new historical minimum flow values. Additionally, 92 localities that do not have centralized water supply systems are affected by the reduction of local sources, most of them being in Botoșani County.

Apele Române specifies that it continuously monitors the situation and collaborates with local authorities to manage the effects of drought, recommending the responsible use of water resources.
