The Neamț County is facing a water supply crisis, and Prefect Maria Apostol has requested rapid intervention within the County Emergency Situations Committee (CJSU). The priority is to ensure water for the affected population and stabilize the supply system.
If local resources are insufficient, the prefecture will request support from the Government, including funding from the budget reserve fund. APASERV S.A. has been mandated to develop a detailed analysis of the infrastructure, highlighting the sections of pipeline that need replacement. The County Council and the Public Health Directorate have also been asked to assess the impact on the population and health risks. The prefecture emphasized that the problems are not recent and are not caused solely by drought, but also by deteriorated infrastructure. The next CJSU meeting is scheduled for August 24, considering the urgency of the situation.
