In Arad County, all the tributaries of the Mureș River have dried up due to lack of precipitation, and the average flow of the river is at one third of the multiannual average, according to the Mureș Water Basin Administration.
At the four main measurement points, the flow of the Mureș has significantly decreased, with values of 63.8 m³/s at Săvârșin, 33.4 m³/s at Lipova, 39 m³/s at Arad, and 42.8 m³/s at Nădlac, all below the normal for the period.
