According to an analysis of a food delivery platform, Romania ranks second in the world in 2025 for pizza orders, immediately after Spain, and is the leader in Southeast Europe. February 14, Valentine's Day, was the busiest day, with over 18,000 orders placed, reaching a peak of orders at 6:32 PM.

Romanians prefer classic varieties, with Pizza Diavola in first place, followed by Pizza Quattro Stagioni and Pizza Margherita. May was the most active month for orders, and the weekend is the period with the highest consumption, with Friday being the preferred day. Most Romanians order pizza for dinner, peaking at 7:00 PM. A user from Cluj-Napoca was declared 'the biggest pizza fan', ordering 396 pizzas in a year, and an order from Arad set a record of over 2,800 lei. The most orders come from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Oradea, and Iași, with 93% of them coming from restaurants. Glovo, the delivery platform, operates in 22 countries, connecting users with restaurants and stores.
