The builders working on the Bușteni-Azuga bypass have identified possible instability risks in the slope area adjacent to the railway on the Bucharest-Brașov Main Line, after clearing the vegetation. The Prahova County Council organized a field check and a technical meeting to analyze the situation. The issues were not mentioned during the design stage, and the recent clearings have revealed railway infrastructure elements that could not be assessed previously.
The analysis conducted showed that the location of the viaduct may influence the retaining walls of the railway. To prevent risks to the safety of the infrastructure, CJ Prahova has requested a detailed technical expertise. Depending on its conclusions, protective measures or technical adjustments will be proposed, but the project is not in danger, and the checks are preventive to ensure the safety of the works.
