Preventive arrest for drug trafficking in Prahova: 4.5 kg of cannabis confiscated

A 32-year-old person has been placed in preventive custody following searches conducted by IJP Prahova, being investigated for drug trafficking of low and high risk.

On May 15, she was caught in the act in the locality of Drăgănești, possessing in her car cocaine packaged in six bags and kits for growing hallucinogenic mushrooms. Subsequently, following three searches in the localities of Olari and Tomșani, approximately 4.5 kg of cannabis, seeds, growing equipment, grinders, scales, mobile phones, and other evidence were confiscated.

Additionally, sums of money in lei, euros, and dollars were seized, as well as five gold bars weighing 31.1 grams each. On May 16, DIICOT prosecutors ordered her detention for 24 hours, and the judge decided on preventive arrest for 30 days.

The operation was supported by the gendarmes from the Mobile Gendarmerie Group Ploiești.
