PNL MEP Siegfried Mureșan stated that the government proposed by the designated prime minister Adrian Veștea does not have a parliamentary majority, accusing his supporters of exerting pressure on Parliament to obtain the investiture vote.
Mureșan emphasized that PNL parliamentarians who vote in favor of this Executive will be excluded from the party. He compared the current situation to that of former designated prime minister Eugen Tomac, stating that Veștea also lacks the necessary support. Criticizing the voting procedure, Mureșan labeled it as "undemocratic," arguing that there is an attempt to obtain a majority through time pressure. He also warned that parliamentarians who choose to support the Veștea Government will end their political careers, emphasizing that there are no political prospects for those who vote against the party line. Mureșan concluded that they will not succeed in forming a new viable political formation.
