PESA has announced that it will deliver 14 trains for Romania, the first of which will start running in January 2024, after passing all necessary tests. The trains, part of a batch of 62 regional trainsets, will be distributed to operators such as CFR Călători and Regio Călători. The PESA 655-5 electric PESA 655-5 electric trainset has already entered tests at the Făurei Railway Testing Center, where dynamic characteristics, ride quality and noise level will be assessed, according to European certification standards.
