Nicusor Dan praises Via Transilvanica: “A project that brings people, communities and regions together”

President Nicusor Dan said on Saturday that Via Transilvanica is more than a tourist route and represents a project that brings people, communities and regions together. The message was posted on Facebook in the context of his participation in the Via Transilvanica Business Fest.

The head of state praised the work of the Tășuleasa Social team and the volunteer community, which, he said, turn responsibility and solidarity into concrete action. Nicusor Dan stressed that Romania needs projects that encourage collaboration and direct dialogue between people.

The president said that society is too often viewed through clichés instead of being understood through direct experiences, dialogue and cooperation. In his view, Via Transilvanica demonstrates that Romanians can build together and that there are people who choose to get involved, rather than merely talk about change.

Nicusor Dan extended the message to the economy as well, saying that this capacity for collaboration must also be harnessed in this area. He said he was optimistic about Romania’s economic future, but noted that optimism can be turned into results through dialogue and trust.
