The President of Romania reaffirmed the necessity of implementing last year's referendum, which was initiated by Nicușor Dan, stating that the distribution of taxes and duties should be managed by the General Council, not by Parliament.

He also emphasized that all permits should be granted by the General Mayor, to ensure unique accountability in urban planning. Finally, Nicușor Dan mentioned that the vote was a responsible democratic exercise and that the coalition parties must now focus on important objectives, such as the budget for 2026 and admission to the OECD.
