Mirela Vaida filed a complaint with the police and requested a protection order after a woman posted death threats on Facebook against the presenter, her family and her colleagues at Antena Stars. In an interview with Antena 3 CNN on Thursday, Vaida called on the authorities to intervene and remove violent content from social media.
According to the presenter, the woman who made the threats is allegedly close to Antoanela Grigoraș, the person who, five years ago, entered the studio of the “Acces Direct” show and threw a paving stone at her. Vaida said she does not know the reasons behind the new threats, which were posted in at least five videos.
The presenter said she had also requested an assessment of whether the woman should be involuntarily hospitalized, if her medical condition warrants it. She appealed to the Romanian Police and the National Audiovisual Council to help remove the content that has gone viral, which she says has reached children as well. Mirela Vaida advised people who are threatened, regardless of whether the attacks are online or in person, to notify the authorities.
