Police in Bistrița have issued protection orders for a teacher attacked with a knife and six students

Police officers in Bistrița have issued extended provisional protection orders, with electronic monitoring, for the teacher attacked with a knife by a 13-year-old student and for six other students. The measures were ordered following the incident at the educational institution and are intended to protect the victims during the investigations.

According to investigators, the protection orders concern both the teacher and the six students considered victims or persons exposed in the context of the attack. Electronic monitoring is part of the measures established by the police to prevent any potential acts of violence and to monitor compliance with the imposed provisions.

The 13-year-old student, identified by investigators as the perpetrator of the attack, remains hospitalized at a specialist clinic. Investigations are continuing to establish all the circumstances in which the incident occurred, as well as to clarify the legal measures that may be ordered in the minor’s case.
