Before the attack in Bistrița, the Minister of Education condemned the assault of a teacher at a school in Timișoara and called for measures to protect teaching staff. He welcomed the intervention of the judicial authorities and announced that the teacher would receive support from the Ministry of Education and Research, the school inspectorate, and the institution’s management.
At the same time, the minister put forward concrete proposals: introducing special criminal protection for education personnel who are threatened or assaulted, promptly providing legal assistance and psychological support, and restricting access to schools for people considered a risk. In his message, he also emphasized that grievances cannot justify threats or violence and that teachers must be able to carry out their duties with the support of the school and the state.
