The Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that the building in the Rahova neighborhood, destroyed following the explosion at the end of last year, has not attracted any company to the two tenders organized for securing it, which means that if no one shows up at the next tender, a discussion should be held regarding its demolition.

He mentioned that only one or two companies from the country would have the capacity to intervene, and if no one shows up at the next tender, discussions will be held about the demolition of the building and its reconstruction.

Ciucu explained that the structure was severely affected and that he tried to motivate the companies by increasing the price at the tender.

In the event that no one registers for the third tender, the mayor will hold discussions with the residents to decide the next steps, including the possibility of abandoning consolidation in favor of demolition and reconstruction.
